Counselling . Psychotherapy . Training . Consultancy
I was born and raised in Canada, before moving to Europe in 1984 to travel and broaden my horizons. I settled in France, where I stayed for 8 years, studying French and Art and Design (graduating with honours). I then left France for England, living in London for two years before re-locating a final time to Brighton where I found my true vocation in counselling, psychotherapy and training.
I joined the NHS in 1996, working on Health Outreach and HIV prevention. In the next 17 years, I developed my own practice and the creation and implementation of bespoke training programmes. This started with generic sexual health and evolved into more specialist behaviour change training and culminated in the development and co-ordination of the Health Development Training programme for East Sussex.
For more information on specific training, please go to the Training Section. I also deliver training for other mental health professionals and full details are listed.
I began practicing psychotherapy in 1999, qualifying fully in 2001. My experience as a psychotherapist and counsellor has been through both the voluntary sector and in private practice, specialising in identity transition and development. My belief is to utilise a psychotherapy model that recognises that there is no “one size fits all” style and that there is greater benefit approaching therapy in an individual and flexible manner.
More information about my work is available on the Counselling and Psychotherapy Section.
